October 19, 2017

It was an exciting week for Division 17, with our Skating Field Trip being a GREAT success! It was wonderful seeing every student hit the ice and trying and trying again to learn to be a better skater! Great work Grade Ones and Twos! :)

Some quick reminders:

* Pro-D Day Friday, October 20th. No School.

* Photo Re-Takes on Wednesday, October 25th

* October Scholastic Book Orders were sent home this week, and if you are interested in ordering, please send in orders by Friday, October 27th. Payment is by cheque only please.

* Most of the Art Cards were sent home today, and if you are interested in placing an order, they are due back by Monday, November 3. Please take care to NOT FOLD the art cards.

* We are still missing a few Parent Portal Permission forms to be completed. I will be emailing individuals this weekend. Please try to complete these as soon as possible. We are still waiting for these permission forms to be completed, so that we can walk off school grounds for Muddy Monday, and so that we can go as a class to the Computer Lab.

* Speaking of Parent Portal, we will be going on a Field Trip to Burnaby Village Museum on Tuesday, November 28th with Mrs. McIntosh's class. Please check out the portal for further information, and to complete permission forms. The cost of the trip is $11.00, and can be paid online or in cash.

Lastly, just a HUGE thank you (again) to everyone who helped out on the Skating Field Trip! Without you, the trip would not have been possible!

We also enjoyed some surprise Rice Krispy treats from Zander and delicious cupcakes from Rannah's dad Will. Thanks guys for the extra sweet treat to a great week! :)

Have a great weekend, and hope you all stay dry from all this wind and rain! :)

We weren't able to book a trip to the Pumpkin Patch in time, so I brought the Pumpkin Patch to the class! Ask your student about "Patch in the Class". We will be using our pumpkins for math, science and art in the coming week! :)
