A HUGE thank you to everyone who came to watch our class Poetry Recital this morning. I was completely blown away by the turnout as well as the amount of support. Also a big thank you to everyone for your support in helping our young poets in practicing their poems at home! :)
It was an incredibly tough decision to choose 3 students to represent us at the School Poetry Recital on June 5, but the following students representing our class are:

Reminders...
* Monday, May 28 is our field trip the Children's Festival at Granville Island. A yellow notice was sent home today regarding what students are expected to bring.
- A backpack
- A small snack
- Lunch
- Water
- Dress appropriately for the weather (light jacket for a nice day, rainy gear if it is rainy)
- Appropriate footwear...NO flip-flops
Please be sure to be on time to school on Monday as we will be leaving the school promptly after attendance. Thank you in advance to Vanessa (Lila's mom), Rhea (Ava's mom), Ruby (Shya's mom), and Mitchell (Alexis's dad) for volunteering to come with us.
* A lot of students have yet to bring in their permission forms for the Alouette River Management's Birdhouse Workshop. I have sent home an extra copy for those still missing. Please make sure to send these in by next Friday, June 1.
* Lastly, a note regarding class placements for next year. Any concerns are to be in writing, and sent to Mr. Wheatley. If you have any concerns regarding learning environment/ needs for your child, please send these in as soon as possible. Please note that teacher requests are not accepted.
